The Credential
The CMI® Is the Highest Designation in Home Inspection
The Certified Master Inspector® (CMI®) is awarded by the Master Inspector Certification Board — an independent non-profit. Not a trade group. Not a paid membership tier. You can’t buy it.
To earn it, an inspector needs at least 1,000 completed fee-paid inspections or equivalent education hours, plus a minimum of three years of active practice. That’s it. No shortcuts.
Fewer than 3% of inspectors in North America hold it. Russ is the only CMI® based in Oregon City.
